Extremly high insufficient funds fees which are half there fault you can put money in and they whack you like 3 days later also when you deposit a check takes longer than most to get into your account just do yourself a favor and use any other bank so you are not spending your paycheck paying the bank

This school does NOT have its act together! I went 3 years at King's College (PA) and decided to come to Misericordia because, ON PAPER, their Information Technology w/ a specialization in Security looks better than King's Computer Information Systems major. I was DEAD WRONG! I should've turned around and stayed at King's as soon as it took more than 2 weeks to complete my transfer to Misericordia. I came to transfer on July 25th but the process took until the start of the semester. I had to drive back and forth to the campus to find out what I needed to completely transfer over With only one transfer counselor, who doesn't know what she's doing, it was a hassle. The majority of the administrative staff are very rude and do not care about helping you with anything! One of the most helpful staff members I met, who actually cared, was the director of admissions. Because of the stringent core requirements, I would've had to stay an additional semester because not all of my CORE (all completed) from King's transferred over, even after I pushed the issue! Such BS! After I thought I was successfully transferred, I was hassled with additional requirements that NO one told me about and would've had consequences if I didn't complete them. Happily, I'm transferring back to King's after the Spring 2018 semester! Now onto the major and courses. The IT and ITS major has an ACCOUNTANT as the head and the Computer Science major has a PHYSICIST as the head - NOT A AN EXPERT IN THE TECH. FIELD! **FYI - You do NOT need to take Calculus I & 2 and Physics 1& 2 (these are required in the Computer Science major) to be great in the technology field. Unless you want to do work with graphics, I recommend taking the Information Technology major, if you are still considering this after reading this review, because the two majors share the majority of the same courses.** The professor who is teaching the majority of the heavy duty computer courses is new, foreign w/ an accent, and teaches them like they are traditional lecture courses. BORING! NOT enough hands on work, nothing creative, and NOT enough assignments. You can't teach intro. to programming as if it's a biology or a humanities course. My intro. to security course is too basic for the money you pay. I don't know how you can make a semester out of this course. A lot of it's common sense. My intro. to information systems is probably the best out of the two I already mentioned but the instructor is also the network technician of the school. Many times she had to cancel class to fix networking issues at the school. The best teacher I had was in the CORE. Now that's saying something. If you compare the cost between Misericordia and King's, it will show you that Misericordia is charging you more for an education that is NOT worth as much! **DO NOT GO TO MISERICORDIA UNLESS YOU ARE GOING INTO THE HEALTH SCIENCES!** Two additional things - There is hardly any parking and, this year (2017), there is construction that's been going on since the end of July. It's blocking access to parking that's already limited. The science lot, where the construction is still going on, for the science building extension, is shared between students and faculty which makes the entire situation worse. In addition, Misericordia hosts many events that give priority to guests (non-student). If parking in the science lot, the fastest way to get to it is through the arch. Townhouse Rd. (Second right turn-in after the arch) is only a one way out. They removed the two-way to make room for more parallel parking. The library, on the third floor, has a conference room at the back and study areas scattered throughout. People who attend these conferences have NO respect for students studying up there Misericordia tries to promote its image of being a great school that helps students succeed in the workforce but, in reality, it's a facade and a farce. It's NOT really a university but a greedy business that would love to suck as much money from you as possible as you waste your time in their non-lucrative majors.
